10 December Events You Don’t Want To Miss

It’s the last month of the year, and that means it’s your last chance to get involved in your local communities, including local tech and startup groups! Before you resolve in 2016 to be more active in your resident community, check out these events hosted by regular meetup groups to see which you’d like to more deeply commit to in the new year!:

Wednesday 12/2 @ 9 AM1 Million CupsDenver

After a couple of snow-related cancellations and the Thanksgiving holiday week, 1 Million Cups is back in action. Perfect for founders looking to get ideas, service providers looking to talk to startups, community members who can offer great startup advice, and sometimes even folks who might be looking for a job. Each week, there are two presenters, who have a half hour each to engage the audience on their startup idea, as well as the areas in which they need the most help–then they crowdsource that help from the attendees! Also, if you are a startup or thinking about one, and would like to get some advice of your own, you can volunteer to speak–they are always looking for new startup minds!

Wednesday – Sunday 12/3 – 12/6 @ 5 PMHoliday FleaDenver

It’s your last opportunity of the year to attend one of the amazing Denver Flea events! Held quarterly, these flea-markets-on-a-grander-scale are designed to highlight local makers, bringing together a lot of “shop local” goods and services for you to peruse. It’s the perfect time to get all of your holiday shopping done so you don’t have to think about it for the rest of the month. Certain days require paid tickets, while others are free, so check out the website and see what holds the best value for you!
